VETERANS DAY CLASSIC
❧Some debts cannot be paid in a moment of silence.
Every day, veterans come home carrying wounds the world cannot see. Southern Cross Service Dogs trains and places highly skilled service dogs with disabled veterans — at no cost, for life. These are not pets. They are precision-trained partners that give a veteran back the ordinary things: a grocery store, a school play, a full night's sleep. On November 11, Houston spends one day on the line and one night at the table so that a veteran can spend the rest of his life going wherever he wants.
Always Beside You — that's the promise. This is how we keep it.
Choose your door. Or walk through both.
The Classic is a single Veterans Day campaign expressed two ways. Come for the clays, come for the dinner, or make a day of it. Sponsors receive both.
16500 Westheimer Parkway, Houston
A full course of sporting clays on a crisp November morning, followed by lunch and awards. Teams of four, solo shooters welcome, all skill levels — and rental guns for anyone who has never held one.
- Breakfast, registration, and a shotgun start
- The 11:11 silence, held on the course
- Lunch, awards, and a shooter gift for every guest
Hughes Landing, The Woodlands
A Red Meat Lover's Club evening in the hands of one of Texas's most serious beef programs. Live fire, hoof-to-plate, abundance, and one twelve-minute moment that will stay with you.
- 168 seats only — the room does not get bigger
- Chef Austin Simmons & the Red Meat Lover's Club
- A veteran, a working dog, and the reason we're all here
The range goes cold.
At 11:11 on the morning of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, a horn sounds across the course. Every gun is broken and cased. Every station stops.
One hundred and seventy-five people stand in the open air and hold one minute of silence for the men and women who did not come home.
Then the horn sounds again, and the day goes on — which is, after all, the whole point of what they gave us.
Campaign Sponsorships
Every level below spans both experiences and includes a table of four at Charolais. Our three Team levels are the Gold, Silver, and Bronze packages you already know, at the same prices. The dinner is the reason to sponsor: Charolais seats 168 and not one more, so a guaranteed table is the one thing we cannot sell twice.

Wednesday, November 11
Morning at American Shooting Centers, west Houston · evening at Charolais, Hughes Landing
Five dogs. Five veterans. One day.
Sixty thousand dollars trains and places one service dog with one veteran, at no cost to them, for the rest of that dog's working life. That is the whole measure of this day.
